Classic revenge films (which were unfortunately remade 30 years later):
297. John Boorman’s Point Blank: Lee Marvin wants his $93K. Marvin at his best. With fantastic direction and editing, this is entertaining as hell and has tons of style. Now that I think about it, by having a simple story and unique style, this reminds me of those awesome mid 60s films of Seijun Suzuki.
298. Mike Hodges’ Get Carter: Michael Caine wants to know who killed his brother. The further along this movie gets, the more brutal Caine’s character gets. You feel absolutely nothing for his character and he is completely unlikable. Bleak!
